1. Access the Business Card Scanner
Navigate to the Contacts page - See drop down list under Business on the main top grey navigation bar.
On Mobile Devices:
Tap the purple "Add Business Card" button.
Your mobile’s camera app will automatically open, ready for you to photograph the business card.
On Desktop or Laptop:
Tap the purple "Add Business Card" button.
Choose your preferred method:
Upload an existing business card image file.
Use your webcam to capture a real-time image.
2. Uploading or Capturing the Business Card
To upload an existing business card image:
Select your chosen image file from your computer or mobile device.
After uploading, a message will display confirming that the file is being processed.
To use your webcam:
Follow the onscreen prompts to position your card clearly in front of the webcam.
Capture the image as instructed — processing will begin automatically.
3. Reviewing and Editing the Contact
After processing, Joy Pilot automatically extracts and adds the new contact details to your contacts list.
To review or edit the new contact:
Click or tap on the newly created entry in your contacts list.
The AI typically captures the following details:
Name
Email address
Postal address (if available on the card)
Review these details and update or manually fill in any additional information you might need.
Tips for Best Results
Always use clear, high-resolution images, and make sure the business card is well-lit and in sharp focus.
If the scan quality is poor or important details are missing, Joy Pilot might not automatically save the contact. In that case, you can:
Re-upload or take a clearer image.
Manually add the contact details yourself using the contact form provided.
