Your new bank feed will now appear in the Bank Accounts section of your Dashboard, indicating the connection is established.
Step 2: Linking Your Bank Feed to a Bank Account in Joy Pilot
Once your bank feed is set up, the next step is to link it to a bank account in Joy Pilot. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: If You Have Already Added Your Bank Account to Joy Pilot
Link to an Existing Bank Account
Locate the bank account listed on the Banking Page
Click the ‘Link Bank Feed’ icon 🛜
Choose the bank feed you just set up
Select the correct bank account from the feed
Click ‘Save’ to establish the connection
Your bank feed is now linked, allowing transactions to sync automatically.
Option 2 – Add a New Bank Account Using an Existing Bank Feed
Use this option if you’ve already set up a bank feed in Step 1, but the associated bank account has not yet been added to Joy Pilot. This process will create a new bank account within Joy Pilot and link it to the existing bank feed.
Steps:
1. Go to the Banking section and click ‘Add New’.
2. Select the bank feed you created earlier.
3. From the feed, choose the bank account you want to link.
4. Click ‘Save’ to complete the setup.
Once saved, Joy Pilot will automatically retrieve and display the details of your new bank account.
Managing Your Bank Feed
Once your bank feed is connected, you can:
Check Your Balance – View the latest balance directly from your bank.
Retrieve the Last 90 Days of Transactions – Access a history of recent transactions.
Refresh Your Transactions Manually – Although Joy Pilot updates your transactions daily, you can manually refresh them anytime.
Important Note:
The system automatically updates your banking information once daily. Additionally, due to Open Banking regulations, you are required to re-authorize your bank feed every 90 days using your online banking credentials. Joy Pilot will notify you on your Dashboard when re-authorization is needed.
Summary
Setting up a bank feed via Salt Edge in Joy Pilot ensures seamless transaction imports and accurate financial records. By following these two simple steps—connecting your bank feed and linking it to a bank account—you can automate your banking data and focus on managing your business more efficiently.
